The Big Green Challenge: Celebrating community-led responses to climate change

Date: 19.11.2009

Location: Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons

We're celebrating the completion of the Big Green Challenge year for the 10 communities that were finalists within the Big Green Challenge.

The Big Green Challenge is NESTA's £1 million challenge prize for community-led responses to climate change.  As you may know, it was launched with the aim of tackling climate change by unlocking the potential power of localised innovation.  We believe the quality of the projects has been extremely impressive.

The reception is being sponsored by the Rt Hon Alun Michael MP and Joan Ruddock MP, Minister within the Department of Energy and Climate Change, has been invited to give the keynote speech.  It will be an opportunity to meet and talk to all the 10 finalists before the announcement of the award winners in a few months' time.
